Meghalaya CM Reviews Williamnagar Water Supply Project, Urges Timely Completion of Phase I

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma inspected the Dorengkigre intake point of the Williamnagar Urban Water Supply Project, which is being implemented under the AMRUT 2.0 scheme. During his visit, he reviewed the progress of Phase I of the project, which is nearing completion.Sangma further mentioned that the government is actively working to secure sanctions for Phase II of the project, which will help complete the overall water supply initiative for the town

On the same day, Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma conducted an on-site inspection of the under-construction Dama Chiring bridge at Masa Akong in Williamnagar, responding to concerns raised by PHE Minister Marcuise N Marak regarding the project's progress.

During the inspection, the Chief Minister directed the construction firm to expedite the pace of work and mandated the submission of daily progress reports. He issued a stern warning that any further delays would result in the blacklisting of the contractor.
