DEVELOPMENTAL WORKS GAIN MOMENT IN RANIKOR: MLA PIUS MARWEIN
The MLA and MDC of Ranikor Constituency, Pius Marwein said that developmental activities in the constituency have become increasingly visible over the past seven to eight years due to the collective efforts and cooperation between the elected representative and the people of the area.
He made the statement during the General Meeting of the United Democratic Party Shillong Unit held at the Khasi National Dorbar Hall on the evening of May 16.
During the programme, Marwein also distributed benefits under the MLA Scheme for the year 2024-25 to beneficiaries from the Ranikor Constituency presently residing in Shillong.
The distribution programme was attended by UDP Shillong Unit leaders Bahun S Sanglyne, Blossding Wanniang, Comeback Wanniang and Albert Marwein, among others.
Addressing the gathering, Marwein lauded the leaders and members of the UDP Shillong Unit for their active role in extending assistance to families during times of both joy and hardship. He said the party leaders have consistently stood by the people and rendered support whenever needed.
He further stated that at present there are no villages left in the Ranikor Constituency without road connectivity, unlike in earlier years when several areas remained inaccessible.
