CM LAYS FOUNDATION FOR ROAD PROJECTS WORTH ₹412 CRORE IN EAST JAINTIA HILLS

Meghalaya Chief Minister  on Thursday laid the foundation stones for three major road infrastructure projects at Latyrke Playground in East Jaiñtia Hills district, involving a total investment of around ₹412 crore.

The projects include the upgradation of the Dkhiah–Sutnga–Saipung–Pala up to Semmasi Road at a cost of ₹355 crore, strengthening of the Dkhiah–Sutnga–Saipung–Moulsei–Haflong Road at ₹10.3 crore, and improvement of the Sutnga–Khaddum Road, including better access to Chympe Waterfalls, at ₹46.75 crore.

The Chief Minister said the projects would improve connectivity, boost tourism, enhance access to essential services, and create economic opportunities in the region. He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening infrastructure and accelerating development across Meghalaya.
